The Edmonton Chinese Multi-Cultural Centre has organized the event since 2000 which was also the year that Servus first became a sponsor. We have helped to bring this celebration of Chinese New Year to the community and public ever since, expanding our support to presenting sponsor in 2008.
The Extravaganza, which attracts more than 20,000 people each year, is not only a celebration of the Chinese New Year but also a trade show of Chinese New Year flowers, arts and crafts. There will also be multicultural performances such as Chinese Lion Dance, Ribbon Dancing, Tai Chi demonstrations, Cantonese and Beijing Opera.
As the presenting sponsor Servus will be giving away two $1000 GICs. Simply visit the Servus booth at the event to enter. There will also be a Money Tunnel game for kids at the Servus booth, where kids will have a chance to grab up to a $300 RESP.
For the first time the event will be held at West Edmonton Mall, a location that offers free parking and easy access for all. Admission is only $2 for adults and free for children age 10 or under.
