The Servus Kids Foundation was established in 1996 to raise and distribute funds for the purpose of improving the lives of disadvantaged children in our communities.
Since then, the Servus Kids Foundation has distributed over $570,000 to community programs that enrich children's quality of life. Those initiatives include school breakfast programs, reading/literacy programs and social organizations such as Robinhood Association, Camp HeHoHa, Fort McMurray Children's Centre, Kids in the Hall and KARA.
The 2008 Servus Kids Foundation annual fundraising campaign was a great success and raised $30,000! The employees of Servus Credit Union raised these funds by selling plush frogs to members, and by purchasing their own Servus Kids Foundation shirts and paying to wear them on monthly ‘jean days’. Employees then voted on where to donate the proceeds, and all proceeds from these efforts were donated to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and Kids with Cancer Society. Each organization received $15,000 as well as 30 plush frogs.
Donations to the Foundation are gratefully accepted at any Servus Credit Union branch. Applications for funding from charitable organizations are encouraged.
