Servus Credit Union unveiled its new parade float with help of 30 elementary students from St. James School in Edmonton at our Central Office on Wednesday, June 6th.
The parade float launch included breakfast, prepared by the Bonnie Doon branch staff, a special reading of the story by Marty Chan and the unveiling of the new Servus Credit Union parade float. Pictured below with the float is our President & CEO, Steve Blakely with the students from St. James School.
Our unique parade float is based on a children's story The Wizard's Way written for Servus Credit Union by local writer, Marty Chan. This magical tale about a dragon and a wizard conveys a message that teaches children about budgeting and good financial management. The story inspired the concept for the float, which was created by Studio Y Creations in Calgary, and features a magical castle, the wizard, and the dragon and his treasure.
