Servus Credit Union has become aware of a number of phishing attempts.
Please see the examples below of a few of the emails that are currently circulating:
Servus Credit Union became aware of the following Interac Mail Fraud Alert on November 25, 2009. If you receive this letter, please do not act on it.
There is a mail scam circulating in Western Canada. A promotional letter wrongfully associated with INTERAC notifies you that you have won a large cash prize. A seemingly legitimate cheque is enclosed along with instructions to use the cheque to pay clearance fees on the prize. The cheque will not clear, leaving you out of the money used to pay the fees.
No financial institutions have been identified in the letter. Please be aware that this is a fraudulent letter and do not attempt to deposit the cheque.
Servus Credit Union became aware of the following email on July 22, 2009. If you receive this message, please delete it immediately, and please do not follow the instructions provided in the email.
Dear Cardmember:
This is not a promotional e-mail. Please call us immediately at 1-866-297-9586 regarding recent activity on your account. We're available 24/7 to take your call.
Please disregard this e-mail if you've already call us since the date this e-mail was sent.

Internal Revenue Code Section 6105 allows us to request your Social Insurance Number, Credit/Debit Card number, Expiration Date, Cvv Code ( located on the back of your card ) and ATM PIN CODE for use in maintaining and accessing tax return information.
If you do not enter complete and valid information we cannot provide tax return.
