Recently several CHOICE REWARDS® cardholders have been contacted in telephone and email scams. In the telephone scam, cardholders were told they had won a free trip through the CHOICE REWARDS program. In the email scam, they were informed of a fake program called “Cash Points” and were told to update their credit card information to win 1,000 points.
These calls and emails are fraudulent. Remember, you should never disclose any personal or financial information over the phone (this includes date of birth, card numbers or PINs, passwords, mother’s maiden name, etc). If you receive one of these emails, do not click any links or provide any personal or financial information to a website or via email.
Please note that some CHOICE REWARDS cardholders may receive a letter offering a free companion ticket when they set up recurring payments. This offer is legitimate, but eligible cardholders will be contacted through mail only - cardholders will not receive phone calls or emails. If you do receive a phone call or email with this offer, do not disclose your information.
