We're committed to providing the highest level of security for your debit card transactions. Therefore, we'll be incorporating chip technology into our Member Card® debit cards beginning summer 2010. This project will take several years to complete due to the size of the conversion.
Chip technology is extremely difficult to copy and further protects you from identity theft and fraud.
During the transition period to chip, magnetic stripe cards will continue to provide you with a safe, reliable and convenient method of payment. Remember to always protect Your PIN whether you are using a chip card or a card with a magnetic stripe.
The migration to chip technology represents the evolution of electronic payments systems, and makes a safe payment system even more secure.
