Are you planning a trip to Europe? 

A few MasterCard cardholders shopping in the UK have encountered merchants who refused their magnetic stripe cards and would accept only cards with the new micro-chip technology.

Be assured that your MasterCard and ChequeWise payment cards will work in the new Chip card environment and merchants are obligated to accept your card.

Should you experience a problem with card acceptance, urge the merchant to swipe the card and follow the prompts.  The terminal will automatically request a signature.
