MasterCard SecureCode is a free online service that makes shopping online more secure. It enables you to choose a private code to protect you from unauthorized card use when shopping online at participating merchants.
To reduce the incidence of fraudulent online purchases, improve your security, and better protect your privacy, MasterCard recently made the use of SecureCode mandatory by all MasterCard cardholders shopping on the Internet, which means if you are shopping online at a participating merchant you will be required to have and use a MasterCard SecureCode to complete the transaction.
Here's how it works:

Similar to entering a PIN at an ATM, you will enter your MasterCard SecureCode in a pop-up window before your online transaction is completed.

If you do not already have a SecureCode you will be automatically prompted to select a code when you attempt to checkout after shopping at an online merchant.

The code is securely transmitted for validation. Once your identity has been confirmed, the purchase is complete. It's that simple!
MasterCard SecureCode works with your existing MasterCard credit card or Servus Credit Union ChequeWise Card, plus there's no special software needed – so you can shop online from any computer knowing your transactions are safe and secure.
